VOLUME:E39PARKINGLIGHTS/HLCOVERS1000 NOTE:The european lens units may come with a single filament bulb holder and single filament amber bulb already installed. These are not to be used. They should be removed and discarded. PROCEDURE: 1.Open the engine hood. 2.Remove the harness plugs from the high and low beam bulbs and remove the parking light bulb and socket assembly. 3.Remove the four 8mm hex head screws that secure the headlight assembly to the vehicle. Two are at the top of the assembly and two are just below the high and low beam bulbs at the rear. Pull the assembly toward the front and remove it. Repeat for the other side. 4.Ther lens cover is secured to the headlight bucket with six molded plastic clips. Two clips at the top, three clips at the bottom and one clip on the high beam side. The top clips have a melted seal; gently break the seal to release the top clips, then release the remaining clips. Remove the lens cover from the assembly. 5.Remove the painted lower trim piece by releasing the two snaps at the bottom and one snap at the high beam side. 6.Remove the two metal clips at the bottom of each glass lens which secure the lenses into the cover. Use a screwdriver to gently remove the glass lenses from the covers. Pay attention to which lens is for the high beam and which is for the low beam. 7.If the new lens covers do not have the small rubber vent tubes at the parking light housing, remove them from the originals and install them on the new covers. 8.Install the glass lenses into the new lens covers and replace the clips. NOTE:If the new lens covers come with the glass lenses already in them, remove the lenses and replace them with your original lenses. 9.Install the painted trim strip to the new cover. Be sure
